Headquarters in Ireland, Kingspan employs over 15,500 workers in 166 factories around the world, with sales of about $6 billion.
About 80% of Kingspan’s revenue comes from insulation panels and boards. The company also makes flooring, ceilings, wall panels and facades, roofing, skylights, ventilation, ductwork, and more. Some of its products are sold under other brand names, e.g., Benchmark, Dri-Design, Tate, Morin, Diversifoam, All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP).
About $1 billion of Kingspan products were sold in the Americas in 2021.
Record Profits — Kingspan’s profit has increased every year since 2008, reaching $600 million in 2020, despite COVID-19. On April 19, 2021, Kingspan reported that it “has, in aggregate, in excess of €2.0bn [$2.4bn] of cash on hand and committed undrawn facilities.” In November 2021, Kingspan announced it expected its 2021 profits to increase to €750 million [$850m].
North American Operations — Kingspan has been buying up smaller companies throughout the world, including in the United States and Canada. It has bought 3 more companies in the U.S. since June 2021, and it now operates over 16 factories in the United States. It operates 10 factories in Canada, mostly under the Vicwest brand.
